We just released a new LeanKit iOS mobile app that provides a faster, more reliable mobile experience. In this post, you’ll learn how to install our new iOS app and get a rundown of what’s improved.
Android users — we’ve enhanced your mobile experience too. Keep reading to learn how the LeanKit mobile experience is better than ever.
New LeanKit iOS Mobile App
We’ve been building a new iOS app from the ground up to provide a better mobile experience — and we want you to try it out. The new app provides more ways to view your work, including a new, focused view called My Cards that provides a quick, at-a-glance view of cards to which you are assigned or subscribed.
If you’re already using the iOS app, please check your app updates to find out if you have the latest version. You’ll be able to tell by looking at the icon: If you see a grey icon titled, “LK (Unsupported)”, you still have the old version and will need to install the new app.
Please note: We’ll remove the old version from the App Store in December 2016, and will no longer be updating it with the latest features. Download the new app for the best LeanKit mobile experience.
If the icon is in full color and is titled “LeanKit”, you already have the new app, so no action is needed to enjoy our newest features.
Recent iOS and Android Updates
We’re continuously releasing updates to our iOS and Android apps to improve your mobile experience. In addition to the new My Cards view, we recently introduced the ability to view and navigate to your Recent Boards.
You can now also view existing connections between cards, giving you better visibility into progress and potential issues at the parent level. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance this capability.
Frequently Asked Questions
(For iOS and Android users) How do I know if I have the most recent version?

- If you’re using an iOS device and your app icon looks like this , you’re already using the new app. No action needed, although we’d love to hear what you think!
- If you’re using an iOS device and your app icon looks like this , and the name of the app has changed to “LK (Unsupported),” you’ll need to delete this version and install the new app, called “LeanKit” in the App Store. You can find the new version here.

(For iOS users) I already downloaded the iOS app and the color scheme suddenly turned grey. Why?
If the LeanKit icon turned grey on your device, it means that you’re using the old iOS LeanKit app. You’ll need to delete that version and install the new one. Don’t worry, your information isn’t going anywhere — it will be waiting for you once you install and log into the new version of the app.
(For iOS users on the old version of the app) How long will the old version of the iOS app continue to be available?
We’ll remove the old version from the App Store in December 2016. In the meantime, we’ve stopped updating and supporting the version of the app that is now called “LK (Unsupported).” If you’re using this version, you’re not receiving any of the exciting updates we’re releasing to our mobile apps, so we suggest you delete that version and install the new one as soon as possible.
(For iOS users) What are the main differences between the old iOS app and the new LeanKit iOS app?
The new iOS app offers more ways to view your work, enabling you to choose between a focused view of your cards or a view of your boards. You’ll also notice new fly-out menus that provide better, easier ways to navigate throughout the app.
